Growing a beard requires patience and knowledge. The information on this website will guide you through the stages of growing a beard, including how to take care of your beard and how to style it. I will also review some of the best beard products on the market, so you can decide which one will work best for your beard.
Week 0 – 2. Usually everybody’s excited about growing their beard and admiring their stubble. The only thing to watch out for is the itch, in which case you’d want to use a good beard oil.
Week 2 – 6. This is where things start to go downhill and many give up at this stage. The beard is patchy. It’s curly and messy. It looks like crap! Don’t trim it; it will make things even worse! Continue using beard oil to make the beard more manageable. Also, in order to make your crappy beard look better, trim your cheek line, beard’s neck line and mustache lip.
Week 7 – 9. Things get a lot better. You now feel like you are growing a beard. You’ve added some length. Most of those patchy areas are starting to fill in. Now it’s a good time to use beard balm or wax, in order to keep those unruly hairs under control. Additionally, invest in a good beard soap or shampoo.
Months 3 – 6. Congratulations, you’ve made it! You have officially grown a beard! Now you can go ahead and trim your beard in order to give it the shape you like.
Month 7 and beyond. Your beard will grow at a slower rate and the only thing you need to worry about is daily/weekly maintenance.
